Riisitunturi National Park
Finland’s iconic “snow ghost” landscapes
Riisitunturi is a fell area and national park in Northern Ostrobothnia, near the town of Posio. It’s especially famous in winter, when trees become coated in thick rime ice and the hilltops open up to wide views over forests and lakes.

Riisitunturi’s highest point reaches around 465 metres above sea level, and the viewpoints offer sweeping scenery across the surrounding wilderness. In winter, the park’s rime-coated trees and quiet snowy trails make it one of the most memorable outdoor destinations in the region.
